Question of the day 4

September 11, 2009

Things that make you go “awwwww”…

I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for the cute. Show me a picture of a baby tiger or a koala bear, and I can’t help myself, that “awwwww” just emits itself.

Animals seems to be my weak spot. For others it is babies and children. Sappy, romantic lines or scenes do it for some. Photos, moments from movies, memories from our lives, those “awwwww”s are just all over the place.

What makes you go “awwwww”?

Question of the day 3

September 10, 2009

You know that old saying about hindsight being 20/20 – meaning that we have perfect vision of yesterday from our perspective of today? Well, I don’t know that we really do see the past perfectly – in fact I’m pretty sure we quite often don’t – but here’s my question: What do you know now that you wish you knew then? And what would you have done differently if you did know? How would your life be different?

Re-writing the past is always such fun. isn’t it? We can be so wise, in our imaginations…

Question of the day 2

September 6, 2009

Have you ever wished you had a different name? Do you think your name fits you? Have you ever heard someone else’s name and really thought you would like to have that name? Do you think you would be a different person if you had been given a different name? If this were an ideal world and it would be easy to change your name (no hassles with credit cards, driver’s license, etc.), would you do it?

Okay, that’s a bunch of questions, not just one. But have at it anyway!

Question of the day 1

September 5, 2009

In hopes that I will someday have readers coming here to play with me, I am starting a “question of the day” feature. Please join me by adding your answers to the questions via the comments section.

So, to start with, today’s question is…

Big joys are great, but it’s nice to ponder the little pleasures that are the grace notes in life. Taking a moment to savor them when they appear, rather than letting them be swept aside in the busyness of the day, is a pleasure in itself.

What are the little things that please you?
